Regular Season Round 10: Balkan - Slam Bball Ac. 54-58

There was a small surprise when top-ranked RomanianSlam Bball Ac. (0-0) won against winless Bulgarian Balkan (0-0) 58-54 on Saturday. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Balkan was trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 23-18 charge of Slam Bball Ac., which allowed them to win the game. Roman Alecu notched 16 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Nathan Weller supported him with 11 points and 7 rebounds. Slam Bball Ac.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 21 points and 4 assists by Georgi Haritonov did not help to save the game for Balkan . Kristian Chilikov added 15 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Despite that victory Slam Bball Ac. went down to first position due to points difference, which they share with 11 other teams including defeated Balkan .
